SUET CAKE RECIPE FOR YOUR BIRDS

If you love feeding birds in any season, this is
their favorite!
Obtain some suet (ground beef fat) from your
local meat market.
Simmer on low/med heat to obtain the liquid.
In a large/flat 1-2 inch deep pan add a few large
spoons of peanut butter.
Discard the meat and pour the hot liquid over
the peanut butter and stir to mix.
To this add a 3:1 ratio of corn meal and flour and stir.
Incorporate sunflower seeds, wheat seeds or
whatever you have and stir.
Place in the freezer or frig. to cool for about an
hour or two.
After it is cooled, cut into approx. 4 inch squares
and store in zip lock bags in the frig. to place in
your suet feeders when needed.

The birds love it and they will let their friends know
where it is, especially the Goldfinches, Chickadees,
Cardinals and Titmice!
